Somerset Surgery Center (SSC) at Med Park West is an ambulatory surgery center. SSC, originally named Walk In & Out Surgery Center, was the first freestanding ambulatory surgery center in Somerset and the surrounding communities. Modern medical advances have made it possible for an adult or child to have non-emergency surgery and return home the same day. Somerset Surgery Center was developed to offer safe high quality surgical care. This affordable and convenient alternative to an overnight hospital stay enables us to better serve the needs of patients and families. We are committed to providing high quality healthcare.

25th Anniversary SSC will celebrate 25 years of operation in November 2009. Started through the vision of Dr. Truman Mays, General Surgeon, and growing to a medical staff of over 40 surgeons in several surgical specialties, we are proud of the care and service we have provided in 25 years.
